"Many schools are concertados, or state funded up to the end of ESO but are purely private for the bachillerato years. This drop in the fraction of pupils in educacion concertado is matched by increases of approximately equal size in the fraction in both state and purely private education for bachillerato"

this site gives info on bachillerato programs … i think

    hopefully this is helpful!

Madrid IS like an oven in August. You can count on that. Even if your hotel room and most places you visis have air conditioning, part of the fun in Madrid is taking nice walks, many museums tourist attractions are within walking distance… and the moment you're on the street, it can feel as if the asphalt is no fire, after say 1 or 2 pm to 8-9 pm when heat is at its worst. Traditionally the absolutely worst period is from July 15 to August 15.

There's a saying in about Madrid: Madrid has 9 months of winter and 3 months of hell. So go figure…

Seville is even worse (in terms of heat). It's in an area colloquially called "Spain's frying pan". So you get an idea.

The best time to visit Seville imo is late March until early June.

Madrid: it is better to wait until mid or late April, as it can be rainy, and ok until early/mid-June. Or mid-september to mid-October.
