An Unusual Fable Wrote Whilst On The Menorca Airplane
January 24, 2012 by Dunkin
It is that time of the season once again for our own once-a-year holiday in Menorca, it was on the plane to Menorca where I actually composed this particular short article about staying in some Menorca apartments and our own good friends staying in some new villas in Menorca simply 300 metres away. This really is Fantastic.
Emergency exits are located to my left and right, and another two half way along the airline. Please fasten the seatbelts, and get ready for takeoff, and thanks for choosing JollyJet for your journey.
The plane had 3 rows of whitened plastic-type chairs, with coordinated reddish colored soft cushions. The floors had reddish colored rugs extending down to the steel walls at the front end. The air hostess, dressed in purple, strolled via a small doorway, and also shut it right behind her.
The muffled sound effects of the engine drifted up to the travellers, as the jet lumbered over the runway. Looking out of the small windows, tall buildings could be viewed, rising up on all sides of the actual thin line of lifeless grass. Thick clouds of greyish fog obscured almost everything beyond the monolithic skyscrapers of London. A couple of the passengers, especially the more mature ones primarily, had dozed off already, jaws agape and a few drops of spit occasionally. Children sat deathly motionless, either from concern about the plane, or perhaps their moms who watched them like hawks.
One child started crying, and could be heard right up until his mother transported him in to the restroom at the back of the airplane.
Time seemed to drag on, minutes feeling just like hours, until all at once, the very airplane broke through the greyish cover of haze and clouds. Now, the window which had yielded this sort of bleakness, offered a new sublime viewpoint. Clear glowing blue sky, resting on a meadow of cloud. Wisps of cloud, upset by the jet, floated like sheep, bobbing around in the open field. Wind rustled the surface and the solid fleece jacket of the lambs. All this was swept apart because a school involving really brightly colorful birds swooped out from the ocean of clouds and dived once again beneath, leaving plumes of cloud floating and glittering in the blue.
A single bird leaped amazingly out from the clouds, and also flew alongside the actual plane, its feathers moist and shiny. It glided riding on the jet’s current, before joining its family within the whirling puzzle below the atmosphere. In the distance, another airplane glided majestically over the sea of clouds, generating glistening waves into the sun, leaving trails of outstanding grey in the genuine white.
We are going to be experiencing some rough weather travellers really should go back to their own seats, proclaimed a captain.
The purity of the white and blue was tainted with black clouds and greyish skies. The birds squawked, and then departed in a host of feathers. The woolly sheep grew to become rabid wolves, snarling and keeping pace with the airline. The jet shook, luggage which had been tossed on the floor, and the wind wolves howled desolately. There was a beat of thunder, a flash of lightning, and some shouts from within the airplane. When the lightning faded, the airplane was in the middle of the whirling dark haze, where strange shapes floated beyond the windows.
But the actual airplane did not stay in that underworld of fog for more than a flicker of an eye, and soon it was floating towards the runway, down towards the uniform dark and grey. The plane touched down, and the passengers headed out of the aircraft, one by one as a mild grey drizzle poured down, on dark suits, black umbrellas, of people heading off for their Menorca accommodation holidays this year.
