Searching for the Best Mobile Phone Deals

September 17, 2009 by · 5 Comments

The best place for getting the most economical cellular telephone deals is the Internet, where nearly all carriers host their internet sites for supplying data about their mobile phone offerings. It also comprises comparison charts, which spotlight the benefits of the carrier’s features against the services of other mobile phone carriers.

Clients can access a specific carrier’s web site and select the best cell phone offer from available choices. They can also access affiliated links to obtain additional data regarding a specific type of cell phone offer.

Separate from specific carrier websites, a number of other internet sites are also hosted on the Web that supply info about cell phone offers extended by several carriers. This helps customers as all the necessary data is available on an individual site and customers don’t have to skip from one web site to another.

Clients searching for the best available mobile phone deals should cautiously read the info furnished in the service provider’s internet site and analyze personal needs. Customers can select from tailor-made deals like family deals, pay-as-you-go, hybrid deals and others offered by the service provider. Customers may obtain lighter rates if they distinguish the minutes of utilization every month and purchase them in a block.

Understanding and purchasing for only what you really require is the optimum means to discover the cheapest cellular phone plan. Be disciplined about these cell phone minutes and requirements.

Acknowledge what you need. Most of the mobile phone features can be extreme, and if you only want a phone to make calls, you may do away with these features. Don’t subscribe to wireless Internet access, for instance, if you don’t require to check your e-mail from your cellular phone. The mobile phone carrier may bill you a couple of bucks monthly only for subscribing to particular promotions even if you do not employ them, so do not sign up for discount long distance rates if you rarely make them.

Sticking to the basics can keep your cellular telephone deals cheap, so never subscribe to any particular service unless you utterly require it.

Your Guide to Buying Genuine Breitling Watches

August 29, 2009 by · 4 Comments

From the moment you mention the words Breitling watches, you automatically think that they are going to be expensive and out of your price range. Well believe it or believe it not, second hand Breitling watches are no more expensive than a typical designer Gucci watch or a Tag Heuer watch, with the vast amount of second hand Breitling watches available in the market place today I’m sure the right one is out there waiting for you.

Prices are now very competitive and certainly affordable to most consumers with an average Breitling watch available for sale from as little as £350.00. The second hand market is now probably the best way to buy your first Breitling watch and you should be able to find the perfect watch for you.

Here are some tips to find your individual perfect “genuine” Breitling watch. When you think you have found your ideal Breitling, be it any of the Breitling Navitimer watches range or Breitling Emergency watches, or even the superb Breitling Bentley watches, before any commitment of offer to purchase, always ask a few very important questions and the answers should determine the authenticity of this watch. You’ll need to be 100% assured this is not a fake watch as there are many copied watches sold via the internet.

1. Has the Breitling watch in question have the original box & certificate? If so, the numbers from the watch will match the numbers on the certificate.
2. Was the watch purchased in the UK or from abroad? If it was purchased abroad, has the tax been paid? Was it declared through customs?
3. Check the company’s returns policy as some will state strictly no returns; Beware, there is always a reason for this and you should probably stay well clear.
4. Past experience means that some companies are reluctant to answer any question regarding a particular watch enquiry. Why is that you should ask?
5. Please remember there are as many fake watches on the internet for sale as there are real ones, and a lot of copied watches are also sold with fake boxes and fake paperwork!

On a good note, there are a lot of genuine companies out there who are very reputable and established retail and online jewellers who offer a second to none service to their customers offering a full 100% no quibble full refund if not totally happy with the watch. These are the companies you need to be searching for to guarantee that your first Breitling watch is genuine. Check the website thoroughly, most have landline numbers clearly listed. If you see any that only list a mobile phone number then you should beware. Give them a call, speak to a real person, ask the questions above and this way you’ll get a real feel for the company. Good luck with your first Breitling watch purchase.

How to Budget your Income

August 9, 2009 by · 3 Comments

Introduction

In these days of financial crisis it is more important than ever to be able to budget your income. There are some people who find budgeting their money easy and satisfying and there are others who cannot seem to come to grips with financial management for the life of them. The people who have no problem managing their money don’t really understand the people who find it difficult. Where there is real poverty in a household, not managing your money is understandable but when there is a reasonable income and still the individuals find themselves getting deeper and deeper into debt then that is down to just sheer bad management.

In David Copperfield by Charles Dickens Mr Macawber gives a discourse on the concept of budgeting. He states “Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen pounds six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pound nought and six, result misery.” His message is that is you spend a penny more than you get you will always be poor but if you spend a penny less then you will always feel rich. And he is absolutely right.

My grandmother always used to say ‘cut your coat according to your cloth’. During the war we made all our own clothes but even material was rationed and so shorter skirts became the style and boys always wore short trousers to save on fabric. Being a clever seamstress she would make skirts out of coats and my brother’s trousers out of skirts and oddments of material. Any scraps of fabric left over were used to make rag rugs. We all had to learn to manage and make do and improvise.

Since those days the standard of living has improved out of all recognition. We have become the throw-away society and people like myself who experienced the shortages of war, find it difficult to get rid of anything because we are stuck with the mentality that ‘it might come in useful one day’. The younger generation however have been raised in a more affluent society and as a result take it for granted that they can just buy things they want and need. We also have the constant advertising to subliminally impose the message that ‘we can’t be happy unless….. or loved or desirable’ so it makes it difficult not to buy things especially when credit is so readily available. There are tempting offers within our grasp every day and it’s difficult to resist when we are led to believe we might never get such an opportunity again.

The result of all this mind-bending is that the personal debt in the US & the UK is the highest it has ever been. One financial analyst explained that when personal debt is high in any country then recession will inevitably follow, and the greater the individual debts the deeper the recession that is to come. This is something I found to my cost when I first set up my website development business. Although I was making good money I took on more than I could really afford and the business got into debt. But by good management and financial budgeting we have gradually pulled things back and are now back on an even keel.If you are someone who has difficulty managing your money and do not know how to keep your finances under control then keep Mr Macawber’s words in mind and read on to learn more

Many companies do not know that a SEO service exists never mind applying it to their marketing strategy.

Change of Mindset

People who find it difficult to manage their money seem to have a certain way of thinking or mindset. Attitudes and values are learned from our parents in early childhood, but that does not explain why one child in a family will have good financial control and another will not. Sometimes it may be an opposite reaction to our upbringing or it could just be a quirk in someone’s nature. If you are loaded then spending money freely is not a problem, but if you are on a limited income or just never seem to have enough, then living within your means looks like a good idea.

One of the first things you need to understand is that people who are selling things are in business to make money and they want their businesses to grow. To do this they have to increase sales, so they aim to make things irresistible to customers like you and me. So remember the next time you are tempted by an impulse buy, think about the fact that some big guy out there is taking your hard earned cash and raking in the profits and leaving you broke.

I know you are saying ‘but I want it’. OK let’s back track a minute. Why are you out shopping in the first place? To buy the things you need. Did you make a list? Is the thing you want on your list? Did you forget to put it on your list? Do you have enough spare cash to buy the items not on your list? And so on… So the impulse is strong. If you see a child in the supermarket demanding sweets or some other treat and the parent says no and the child has a tantrum, what are your thoughts? Do you think ‘spoiled brat’ or that the mother should give into the child’s demands. Because really, lack of control when out shopping, is about the same as a three year old child having a tantrum. At that age a child wants instant gratification and some people stay stuck in that phase and never learn to wait or work towards what they want.

So are you a grown up and do you really want to be debt free? Having the equivalent of a three year old tantrum is to have no thought to the consequences of your behaviour. That thought process which goes ‘I know I shouldn’t but I am going to have it anyway’ is usually a substitute for some other need that is going unfulfilled. Or ‘I have worked hard and I deserve a treat’. Then you have to ask yourself what will make you happier in the long term, a treat you can’t afford which will make you feel guilty when in debt or becoming debt free so you can afford those treats without feeling guilty. Maybe being debt free is just a nice idea like some fantasy that is so far in the future that it can never really become a fact. One of the ways to change your thinking is to ask yourself, ‘who is the best person to benefit from my hard earned money? Is it the big companies who are making loads of profit already (Fat cats) paying their executives million pound bonuses, or me?’

As an SEO consultant I love making things happen for clients so that their businesses grow exponentially.

An example from my own experience of changing a mind-set occurred when a friend was visiting us. She confided in me that she had some money given to her and wanted to invest it securely for her son’s further education so that nobody else could get at it. On discussing the options available, she confessed to an anxiety around money and fear of doing the wrong thing. This caused her to abdicate from making any decision at all. I said I enjoyed the online banking system and being in charge of moving my money around and how easy I found it. I offered to show her how to go about it and find the best choice for the investment of the capital. At that point she obviously did a mind shift because after she had thought about it for a minute she decided she could handle the online banking system. Together we researched the best way to safely invest her money to make the most of what she had and then she opened an account and set the whole thing up. Since then she has got over her phobia and when I checked with her at the time banks were failing, she said the investment she had made was still safe.Sometime you may need to resist the urge to buy unnecessary items but if you still have difficulty limiting your shopping habit, take a friend or relative with you on outings. Someone you can trust to steer you away from temptation.

In the example above we made the online banking fun and treated it like a game and in that way my friend could think in a different way about the issue. So give yourself permission to think of being in control of your money as being fun as well as a practical way to remove the stress you experience around funds. Some of the hang ups people have about money may come for example, from an impression gained in childhood that being careful with money indicates to the world that a person is mean and conversely being reckless equates with generosity and open handedness. This is faulty thinking so changing your ideas can lead to a stress free existence where you have more energy to enjoy life and the potential to make even more money.Carry only a minimum amount of small change on you so that you are not tempted to fritter away £20 on some impulse purchase you don’t need. Those pounds add up fast and before you know it a hundred pounds in your pocket is gone.

The Road to Liquidity

The most difficult part of improving your financial position is to admit there is a problem and then be able to face the reality of your situation. When someone is on a spending spree they are out of control and out of touch with reality. They are in a fantasy ignoring the cost and the consequences of overspending (ie. How is it going to get repaid?)
The basics for personal finance and business finance are fundamentally the same. Money going out needs to be less than money coming in and anything left over is profit with which you pay yourself or spend as you want. If the finances in your personal life are out of control then the same will be true of your business situation unless you have someone who takes charge of the money management for you. I run my own website design company and if you are like me the temptation is strong to buy all the latest gadgets. But if you can think yourself into a new mind set you will find it much easier to change the habits of a lifetime. Be sure that all expenses are accounted for when you take stock of your situation.
In the case of a company, records have to be kept for the tax man and this is usually done on a computer programme for that purpose.

SEO companies provide a service to their clients to improve their search engine position by link building key words to the client website.

The principles of money management apply equally well to business as to the personal. If you are on a regular income and you are finding is still hard to manage your money then there are some basic strategies you can employ to help yourself.

The first thing you need to do is keep an accurate report of all the money going out and what you spend your money on. At this stage do not try to change what you normally do. Get yourself a cash note book and write down all the things you can think of that you buy. This includes household bills and food, mobile phone, TV. Put a figure in the corresponding column. If you have actual amounts put them in, if not make a guess and correct the figures later when you have them. Every time you take money out of your pocket/wallet/credit card/bank, write down how much it is and what you use it for. Leave space for the things you won’t remember or may even not consider them expenses. Beer, cinema, clothes even the coins you toss to street entertainers. Categorise it as fun money or entertainment funds.

Do this over four weeks, by then you will have a comprehensive list of your monthly expenses. Where there are annual amounts divide by twelve and add to the list. These will be things like TV licence, car tax and MOT and insurance both for house and car. Make a total at the bottom of the page and on the opposite page write down all of your income. When I did this I discovered our monthly outgoings had crept up so that suddenly the income did not cover it any more. If you enjoy using your computer put all the figures on a spread sheet so that they can be added easily and changed whenever costs go up.

Compare the totals. Do you spent more or less than you receive? Is your life going towards happy or miserable? It is at this point you really need to make a shift in your mindset. Think carefully and decide how your life is going to be. Not a fantasy, but a reality check. Decide you are going to be the one in charge of your finances not some other person who is trying to take it off you. Remember the saying ‘A fool and his money are easily parted’ so don’t be a fool. Think smart, be smart.
If you have more than one source of income notice even when small amounts come in and think ‘at least it’s coming in not going out’.

It is probably unrealistic to say cut up your credit card because this is usually the most suitable way to pay for petrol and grocery bills. But make sure you have only one credit card, and find one that gives points for purchases. These mount up and you can claim vouchers to spend in your favourite stores. Also find a credit card that will take the full amount by direct debit from your bank account every month to clear the balance so that you don’t miss payments, accrue interest charges and generate a large fine. Realise that you actually have to pay for credit and it can be expensive.

Learn to be tight fisted when it comes to parting with your money. Look around for the best deals and always ask for a discount for cash. I went on a negotiating course some years ago and the following week I put into practise what I had learnt. I saved £200 on purchases just by asking! Make a list when you go shopping and only buy what is on that list. OK, some things you may have forgotten to put down but make sure you avoid the impulse purchases. Keep a list in the kitchen and only put things on it when you have run out. Use up products in the Freezer to reduce waste and keep spending to a minimum.Become a prudent shopper and consumer. Try and use up coupons and saving a few pence per purchase can really add up. Searching through clearance sections or 3 for 2 items in supermarkets is another way to save money. Treat it like a game and you may be pleasantly surprised to see how much you can reduce your bill on your usual grocery haul.

Conclusion

Alvin Hall is a well known TV personality that hosts a programme about managing your money. To me there is nothing earth shattering in the advice he gives, but what the programme does do is make sure people actually take action. What he offers is a common sense approach to dealing with debt and how to recover your liquidity saying “Don’t spend what you haven’t got”. He talks about being ‘in charge’ of your finances. When you think about people who manage their money, well that is exactly what they do. Once you conquer your shopping demons and you have your finances under control you will feel proud of yourself and have a great sense of accomplishment. Budgeting is a matter of common sense, so don’t be overwhelmed, grab that pen and paper and get on track to a debt free existence and get your life back.

Fax from the Internet,Local and International Internet Fax

June 28, 2009 by · 7 Comments

We saved over a $160.00 a month on our business fax line.

We own a custom flag company and run it from our home for 15 years now. We have always had a phone line and a separate fax line. You know the type; scanner, printer and fax all in one. Been happy with it too, but with the recent economy we had to look at cutting expenses.

I started out by looking online to see how we could fax from the Internet using our DSL connection. I was surprised to learn that I didn’t even need an Internet fax program installed in my computer. I could also get rid of my land-line for the business as well as our fax line.

I used a company called Ring Central (through Virtual Phones page which I put below) 800 number that our customers can call us on and got the fax number as part of the package. Only drawback was we had to get a new number because we were out of the area for keeping our existing number, maybe you won’t have to. No problem, call customers and we put the new number on the old phone service recording with the phone company when we canceled.

Ring Central sent us all the stuff to hook it up and easy instructions to follow. In just over an hour we were up and running. We also got a 30 day free Internet fax number trial and same on the 800 number, then made our purchase at $24.99 for everything (800 and fax with 10 extensions). That saved us over $165.00 avg. per month!

There are many internet fax programs offered by various companies. Vonage is probably the most advertised but after doing a lot of research I found them to have major issues. There are even blogs about how bad their services can be, I’m cautious and didn’t want problems with my business.

I have been using my new 800 number and 32bit Internet fax for almost a 3 months now and had good luck with it. We lost service when our DSL has gone down or power is out (happens in ice storms) but our cell phone takes care of that issue. Customers can leave a message and faxes were just sent automatically again.

The the link below will provide more information about a free trial and the video shows just how easy it is. Hope you found this information useful!

You Can Get The Unlisted Phone Number You Are Looking For With A Reverse Phone Finder

June 15, 2009 by · 7 Comments

Trying to look up unlisted phone numbers by tracing the number could be a rather exasperating task. To top it off, there are unfair amounts of bad publicity online on this as well. Figures show that the number of people with the need to run such searches has been growing in tandem with the explosive usage of the cell phone. Hence these are the new breed of people who have great need for the reverse cell phone lookup service. Below are some key search tips which you will need to be realistic about in order to set your expectations right.

There are countless sites touting to provide free reverse phone lookups, and yet some more which advertise free reverse cell phone lookups. While it is a half truth for the former, there is absolutely no truth in the later. To find a true reverse phone search, you will have to pay a fee. Land lines are public domain information and hence are available in free phone directories or white pages. Unlisted or Cell phone numbers on the other hand are not public domain information and hence not available readily for free. The sites that claim free cell phone searches are trying to attract potential users to try and sign up for the service.

Companies that provide this service often boast having about 95 percent of all cell phone numbers in their database. However, logic and common sense would tell us that we need to give room for gaps in between updating, and attrition rate of cell phone ownerships. Hence, be realistic that there might still be that 5 percent which could be missing from the database. It could be an issue of timing, which by my experience, could be eventually included into the database after a period.

There are complete cell phone directories which allow you to run initial search hence allowing you to preview and test the robustness of their database and helps you confirm whether the phone number you are trying to trace are included within the database pool. This step actually helps reduce your frustration, and when you find that the number in question is not in their database, you are then free to move on to the next site.

The final step is simple in that you either exit the site or sign up for the service in which case, you are given immediate access to the system and input the number for your full report within minutes. Learn to make your online searches more enjoyable and less painful with the reverse cell phone lookup.

Tips for saving money on your insurance

June 8, 2009 by · 5 Comments

from your current provider on your Car insurance and home insurance. After mortgages, this is the most effective area to save money by obtaining alternative insurers. According to the Daily Mail, shopping around can save the average buyer £214, while you home insurance premium tumbles from £368 to £227. It is incredibly eay to find quotes on the internet, and if you don’t spend at least one lunch hour a year finding a better deal then saving money is not important.

1. Reclaim PPI
Pricey and poorly sold, PPI is one of the most profitable products created by the finance industry. It can add £3,000 to the cost of a £7,500 unsecured loan. But many people were sold it who can’t possibly make a claim against it these people are abel to demand their money back again.

Lots of claims companies advertise on daytime television, promising to obtain you a refund but they will take 25% of whatever you win. Instead, use the Fiancial Ombudsman Service which is free and on average they are helping 80% of those missold . Helpfully, it offers a factsheet on how to make a complaint about PPI which you can find at financialombudsman.org.uk

2. Cancel your mobile phone insurance
Naive youngsters are strongly pressured in phone shops into spending between £60 and £70 a year on this kind of insurance. Most policies don’t cover you for the most dangerous type of risk airtime abuse (if your phone is ued to call overseas, and if your phone is lost your home and contents should coiver it.

Cancel your direct debit with the bank and the insurance will lapse.

3. Rethink your life insurance
You can also cancel your life insurance. Just because the life assurance was sold to you by the provider of your mortgage you don’t need to to stick with that provider for the life of the mortgage. You have the option to cancel at any time to get a cheaper deal. With longevity improving (ie. fewer people dying), life insurance providers have been lowering the cost of life insurance for years.

If you are in a job at a big employer, it is likely to offer “death in service” benefit worth at least three times your annual salary, and often a lot more. Do you really need all that life insurance cover on top as well?

4. Don’t pay for travel insurance you don’t need
Step 1 An EHIC card provides free or reduced cost treatment in EU countries

Step 2 Check your home insurance policy. Many have clauses which already cover personal belongings (ie. your suitcase) outside the home.

Step 3 Check your medical insurance policy, if you have one. These usually cover the costs of treatment incurred abroad. If traveling to Europe, the only real benefit that travel insurance cover brings is cover in the event of a cancellation. Can you justify paying the premiums?.

For those who travel outside the EU, travel insurance is a must, though. Policies that last for a year and cover you for more than one trip always make sense if you go away more than once a year don’t pay for what you don’t need. For example, f you don’t ski or snowboard, you don’t need winter sports cover.

Ringtones, Realtones and Truetones

June 8, 2009 by · 9 Comments

Did it ever happen to you that you were in a public place and you got a call that not only you but several other people reach for there mobile phone because they have the same ringtone? This is very annoying and I think you should try everything to not let this happen again, dare to be different and get a customised ringtone.

As everybody knows new ringtones are not cheap but if you look for the right websites you can find mobile content that is also available for your budget. Make sure that you download the newest ringtones on your mobile phone.

More mature people just have a simple ringtone just to know when they receive a call or message. For younger people it much more than just a sound, it’s letting others know what kind of music you like, witch band or artist and especially witch hit of the moment. If your phone has the coolest realtones you are the man, every teenager likes cool ringtones nowadays. Just give it a try and you will see how people will react when they hear your ringtone.

There are a lot of websites where you can listen to a preview before ordering the funniest truetones, in this way you make sure that you are not spending a lot of money on something that is not what you actually want. Make sure you update them frequently because other people will do the same as you so you will not be unique anymore.

Customising your ringtones on your mobile phone is cool and hopefully you will be the only one that reaches for his phone the next time you are in a public place.

Are cell phone lookup sites free?

May 3, 2009 by · 5 Comments

Is it really possible to do a free cell phone number trace on the world wide web? Many people have been dismayed or discouraged previously with sites that appear to offer free services online, but in actuality don’t. Is this the case for the cell phone search?

First let us examine what we mean by a phone number search. If you have the home phone number but no idea who the number belongs to. You may use a reverse lookup service like Google to see the details. This can be very useful in situations where you lost contact with someone but still have a record of their phone number, or just to see who owns the phone number. There are many places where you can make these business and residential phone inquiries online queries at no cost, including fax numbers.

Unfortunately, trouble arises when you need to run a reverse lookup on a cell phone as the free directories do not include such phone numbers. So, if you’re looking for an Arizona cell number you will have a problem. These listings do not contain cell phone numbers as this information is only in the hands of carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these documents exist & are they available at no cost?

The good news is that there are websites that do offer a large number of cell phone numbers, but they are not free. These web sites of course have to pay a price to gain access to some of this data, and go to the great difficulty and cost of obtaining all data in a single location and therefore, you need to pay a small fee for access to their research. However, the cost is generally a single fee and you can do as many searches as you want. These records usually include cell owner details, address history, carrier information, and the phone type and connection status.
