Put the Fun Back in Exercising
June 29, 2010 by Dunkin · 2 Comments
Remember when you used to be a kid? If you were like me, you were doubtless always outside running around with your pals. We were always playing mad games that required us to run and jump. I think we failed to realize how healthy that was. Maybe if we probably did, we’d have attempted to avoid it more. maybe not. I believe the most important reason many of us don’t exercise today is because somewhere along the lines it modified from being something fun we just naturally did, to some structured beat down program to get or stay in shape.
I believe the smartest thing to do to put the fun back into an exercise plan is to find the kid in you again. Stop structuring every minute of your program to fit perfectly into some fat reduction plan you’re on. Plan out fun activities which will make you incidentally burn calories while you are enjoying time with your pals and family.
Rather than going to the gym and running on the treadmill for precisely 30 minutes and not a second more, grab your family and some bikes and find a cool park to ride through. Get the youngsters outside and start up a neighborhood football game. Get a football ball and challenge your mates to a hefty game of football. The loser has to cook dinner. Take a jog in a lovely park and experience the nature around you. Load up the youngsters and go to a lake. If you’ve a ship, take up water skiing. If not, play Frisbee or volleyball on the beach. You do not need to be good at these games, just get out and have a great time while your body uses calories.
Another good idea is to get on a sports team in the community. If you enjoy tennis, join a league. This is a great way to burn off stress, have a good time and burn calories without having to give it some thought. There are lots of competitive sports you could become involved in if that is’s fun for you. If not, take up a sport anyway and just play with friends and family for fun. In any case, do some research and find some things you love to do. It’s a great way to remain healthy and to coach your folks to live a healthy approach to life also.

Are You Using Free Hosting Services?
June 2, 2010 by Dunkin · 4 Comments
Free web hosting is in many cases the most basic web hosting service that you can sign up with, and there are many free hosting providers available on the internet. The companies providing the free hosting accounts usually finance this by ads on the web sites that are hosted.
Another feature about free web hosting services – they are usually extremely limited. If you get a free hosting service, you are forced to have ads on the top and perhaps even on the bottom of your website, and depending on what your website is all about, it may not fit at all. However, if you are amongst those just starting out on the internet, a free hosting account may very well be the best option, since you probably don’t have a lot of traffic, or just a small site.
The type of domain that you receive when you sign up for a free web hosting account is usually a subdomain with the name that you pick (yourname.somefreewebhost.com) or a name in a directory (somefreewebhost.com/yourname). For example, if the name of your free host is the000webhost.com, then your web domain would be yourbusiness.the000webhost.com.
If you are a newbie, this is the type of account that you would probably want to get, but you should be aware of some of the shortcomings this sort of free web hosting account has, especially if you are looking for more advanced options:
Firstly, many free hosting accounts do not support databases. Databases are usually used for online data retrieval routines, or to manage dynamic content on your site, such as a wordpress blog. Many of these free web hosting sites do not even support the most widely used package called mySQL!
Secondly, the free webhosts may not support multiple email accounts; in fact they only give you one email account, which is usually a web based internet account (aka webmail).
However, recently some new companies has emerged, that will in fact give you a free hosting account without the recenly mentioned shortcomings; you get PHP, mySQL, email accounts and lots more! One of them is a free webhosting service found at the000webhost.com. They even allow you to host your own domain (a perfect reason to finally purchase a domain of your own), and you are not forced to display ads or anything like that. How’s that for an improvement!
The downside? – They will disable your account after 15 days without traffic, which could be a problem if you are just starting out. Some would call it a blessing, since it will force you to come up with new and fresh ways to generate web traffic to your site.

The College of the United States
September 20, 2009 by Dunkin · 6 Comments
The College of the United States (one of the future colleges in Chicago) will strive to create global leaders of tomorrow capable of fulfilling the vision of our Founding Fathers by becoming successful men and women of principle and action, effective in spreading the benefits of reason and individualism, and the bounty of liberty worldwide through their work and their example.
We believe many students are aware that current influential ideologies do not reflect their values. Epistemological and ethical relativism, big-government mandated economics, entitlement politics and hostility to American values reign in Academia and ‘higher’ culture. These students are looking for alternatives to the typical colleges and universities in Chicago and the College of the United States will make that possible.
In addition to covering all traditional subjects, our curriculum is specifically designed to teach thinking skills, and how to powerfully integrate ideas and information by using the principles of philosophy.
Our graduates will be prepared to excel in their fields of choice due to their training in the comprehensive, integrative power of philosophy, highly developed creative thinking skills, broad knowledge in the humanities and sciences, and extensive real-world experience.
Rarely do schools specifically train and nurture students in thinking skills per se. This is the goal of the College of the United States.
Training for life (and work) is only possible by experiencing an education that enables the individual to continue educating himself. Adaptability is mankind’s greatest survival tool made possible by the reasoning and imaginative mind; preparing the student for all life’s variety and challenge is the sine qua non of education. Reduce Credit debt
September 16, 2009 by Dunkin · 10 Comments
What would you like to spend your money on? The thing you want or interest on interest, with a few nice fees on top. Reduce credit debt now, so you can spend your money as you please.
When you buy on your credit cards you will likely end up paying for the thing you just had to have a few time over. Every month you have a credit card balance you will get interest added on top to create a new balance. After a while you end up getting interest charged on interest. Which is a really big reason to Reduce credit debt.
I know there are many people out there that claim that they only buy what they can pay off by the end of the month. They do this to get what ever reword the card is offering. I personally know people that do this successfully. We are talking about people with tons of control. I tried it on a credit card that gave you gift certificates to places that I love to shop. I did it right. I was careful and paid off the balance to make sure I did not pay a penny in interest and fees. Got a few $50 gift cards to a clothing store and enjoyed using them.
So what was the problem exactly? The credit card sent a new deal and they more or less talked me into agreeing to a different type of card with a different incentive. One that was not useful to me at all. I could not change back. The creditor realized what I was doing and basically stopped me, but not before giving me a taste of the ease of using a credit card for stupid stuff. In the end I probably paid this credit card over $10,000 dollars offer a ten year timeframe. Save your self the time and aggravation and the money spent paying interest, Reduce credit debt now.
Why are Precious Gemstones Expensive?
September 4, 2009 by Dunkin · 7 Comments
Although the terms precious gemstone and semi-precious gemstones are not used as much as they were in the past, ruby, sapphire and emerald are still the most popular gemstones available. Why are emerald, ruby, and sapphire the big three colored gemstones? One reason is hardness. Rubies and sapphires are both at 9 on the Mohs hardness scale while emerald comes in at 7.5. The chemical composition of ruby and sapphire is exactly the same called corundum and only if it is red do we call it ruby. All other colors of corundum are called sapphires but blue is the hue most people think of when they are talking about sapphire. Other colors of sapphire are usually qualified with the color name such as pink sapphire. All three of these gemstones are rarely found in nature but so are many other gems. So why are these three more precious and generally more expensive than all the other gems? Each gemstone represents the purest examples of the primary hues red, blue, and green. Combine those primary colors with the exception hardness of each gem type and you can see why they have been so popular thoughout history.
Since each of these gemstones are the best examples of primary colors in nature one should judge for color first. The best rubies are red not pinkish red or purplish red. Emeralds should be green rather than blue green, yellow green, or brownish green. Sapphires should be blue rather than purplish blue, greenish blue, or violet. Secondary colors in gemstones are almost always present and can be desirable but the highest percentage of primary hue should be the goal of a true gem collector. Once you have judged the color you can move on to judging the clarity next. Finally, the cut and polish should be your third quality to look at.
